Our story
We exist because asking for a guarantor shouldn't be a favor.
SextoPiso was born from a simple question: why does getting a roof over your head depend on knowing someone who owns property? We built the digital guarantee so you rent on who you are and what you earn — not on the favors you can call in.
Across much of Latin America, renting requires a guarantor: someone who owns property and is willing to sign for you. Millions of qualified tenants — employed, solvent, with spotless records — are locked out of the market for lacking one.
The system turns something as basic as moving into an emotional debt. You have to call an uncle, a parent, a friend with a deed, and ask them to put their home on the line for your lease. And if that person doesn't exist, you simply don't rent.
Renting can't depend on who you know.
And when the guarantor does show up, the other race begins: weeks of paperwork, certified deeds, stacked-up pay slips and agency visits during working hours. Meanwhile, the apartment you wanted is already gone. We decided that ends here.
